ARE ORTHO K LENSES ONLY FOR KIDS?

Ortho K lenses are suitable for people of all ages, adults or kids. Wearing the lenses at night can allow users to see clearly in the day without glasses. That being said, Ortho K has an additional benefit of controlling Myopia progression in children.

ARE ORTHO K LENSES PAINFUL?

There may be a slight discomfort of ‘feeling something in the eye’ when Ortho K is first worn. However, it will NOT be painful and most users can have a good night sleep with the Ortho K lenses after adaptation. It may take as little as within an hour to a few days for adaptation.

HOW LONG DOES ORTHO K TAKE TO GIVE ME GOOD VISION?

Typically, it will take 1 week for the vision to be fully corrected and see clearly in the day. This would depend on the original degree, the higher the myopia, the longer it may take. Other factors such as the cornea ‘stiffness’ will determine if it can be reshaped faster or slower and varies between users. It may take up to 2-3 weeks for some users to have perfect vision in the day.
